CODE Beacon is an animated LED sign for CODE Live (Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad Digital Edition) exhibition. It will soon be transformed as a sign for the Centre for Digital Media.
It was a mission impossible. We built this 4 feet by 8 feet sign in less than three weeks. As the hardware engineer, I designed the electronic circuit. As the software engineer, I wrote the program for the micro-controller (Arduino MEGA), which controls all 32 boxes of RGB LED, and a user-friendly animation design software.
